I try not to complain about a lot of things in my life, because I know it is good and I am fortunate. But...I very seriously dislike my job. Not going to rant about this, it wouldn't really do anyone good.
ON A POSITIVE NOTE;
Katie reblogged my post of her snickerdoodle blondies, and I've gotten tons of pageviews from this! This makes me quite happy! =D
139/365 A little expansion on the usual photo-a-day
A photographic chronicle of a snickerdoodle blondie baking adventure.
Success! Here's the recipe!
And here's the genius who created these genius treats!
Hope you enjoyed my post, Katie!
132/365 Homemade Nutty Bars
Last night Mom and I did some shopping for the after prom party, and we bought Little Debbies. Mom told me not to eat any. So I was about to just eat a Nutty Bar when I went, 'wait, I can make these myself!'
So I did. With considerably less chemicals and sugar and junk. And, most importantly, it was the best decision I've ever made.
The picture is a little blurry. I think that's because I was so excited I couldn't hold the camera steady, so I'm okay with it.
130/365 Cookie Dough Balls
Raw (and pretty healthy) cookie dough, and no salmonella!
CCK, you are making my life so amazing.
P.S. I know, this blog might as well be a food blog at this point.
129/365 'Ice Cream'
Homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream. YES.
But I can't take credit for this recipe! CCK, once again!
128/365 Moony
I actually finished the 3rd HP a few days ago, but I needed to post this picture because this is my favorite book, and this chapter explains why.
Also, by the end of this month I will probably have a picture of every HP book since I'm currently re-reading the series, and obviously I couldn't skip POA.
126/365 Graduation
Wait. Okay. Three Pictures? I know, but today was an important day.
Steph graduated as Salutatorian of her class at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, and we sat through the long ceremony to watch her get her diploma, and hear me sing the awful, awful song that is our school's Alma Mater. We then went to Ma France Creperie dans Ocean City, and had a delightful meal.
Picture 1; Dad, Steph, Fran and Mom right after graduation, in front of Big Blue.
Picture 2; Steph opening her cards and gifts at lunch. The way the sun was coming in the windows and how CUTE she looked made me really like this picture.
Picture 3; Walnut and brie galette. No more words. I decided not to post the photo of my dessert banana and nutella crepe, for fear of making people too painstakingly jealous.
Congratulations, Stephi!
125/365 Bridge
So today I drove into Stone Harbor. Twice. To go to a store that was closed. Both time. Even though the first time assured me (with a little handwritten sign) that they would be open after 2pm. This was false. And I got stuck behind the bridge opening. So I took some picture while sitting there. Although not with my car in park, because we all know what Petunia likes to do when Taylor puts her in park when not actually parking. That's right, not go back into drive, therefore leaving Taylor stuck in the middle of roads/intersections, etc. This is a long, rambling post. I think I felt the need to justify the lame picture.
P.S. If you go back to day 33, you can have a fun comparison of that side-view mirror picture with this one! Yay!
123/365 Om noms
Oh, are those mint chocolate bars? Yes. Yes, they are. Are they made out of nothing but dates, walnuts, cocoa, peppermint extract and a few chocolate chips and therefore pretty darn healthy? Yes, they are indeed.
Thanks, CCK for the idea!
121/365 Goodbye, H304
I believe this is the first black and white photo of my blog.
Today was the LAST day of my freshman year of college. It turned out to be a pretty bittersweet day, so relieved to be done school, but will miss new friends (family). This picture depicts more sadness than I really felt all day, but it's my favorite of the ones I took.
I'm home for the summer! Finally! Now on to my long list of things to accomplish/read/do in the next four months!
